  1. World Homeopathy Day is annually celebrated on 10 April to honor homeopathy and its contribution in treating people across the globe and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathy and a German physician. The theme of World Homeopathy Day 2023 “One Health, One Family”. 
  2. The Union Government on 5 April 2023, gave its approval for installation of ten nuclear reactors in the country. The nuclear reactors will be set up in Karnataka, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. 
  3. Chhattisgarh’s Nagri Dubraj, an aromatic rice variety, has been granted a geographical indication (GI) tag by the Geographical Indication Registry.
  4. The former captain of the Indian cricket team, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, former Indian Women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj, and Jhulan Goswami have been named among the five Indians to be awarded honorary life membership of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
  5. India was elected by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) as a member of the UN Statistical Commission, the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, and the Programme Coordinating Board of the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS.
  6. British-Hindu Murugesvaran ‘Subby’ Subramaniam has been appointed as Warrant Officer of the UK’s Royal Air Force, the aerial warfare and space force announced on 5 April, 2023.
  7. An Indian-American physician and professor Dr. Nitya Abraham has been honoured with the Young Urologist of the Year Award conferred by the American Urological Association (AUA) on 6 April, 2023.
  8. Nagaland hosted the fourth B20 Conference in Kohima from 4-6 April, 2023.
  9. Skyroot Aerospace, a startup based in Hyderabad, India, on 4 April 2023, successfully test-fired an advanced, fully 3D-printed cryogenic engine for a record 200 seconds, marking a significant milestone in the country’s indigenous space technology development.  
  10. Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on 5 April, 2023 announced a partnership between the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Amazon India in their field of media, entertainment and public awareness.
  11. Honda Motor Company Limited on 5 April, 2023 appointed Tsutsumu Otani as the President, CEO and Managing Director of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.
  12. Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has entered the club of the world’s top 10 busiest airports by passenger traffic, as per Airports Council International.
  13. On 5 April, 2023, Israel successfully launched a new spy satellite, named Ofek-13, into orbit from the Palmachim Airbase in central Israel, which is intended to provide advanced intelligence capabilities to the Israeli military and intelligence agencies.
  14. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan won the 2023 TIME100 Reader Poll, the 100th edition of TIME’s readers poll, beating the likes of royal-couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Argentinian player Lionel Messi, and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg.
  15. Iran, on 4 April 2023, appointed an ambassador, Reza Ameri to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the first time since 2016.
  16. The iPhone maker, Apple Inc is set to open its first official retail store in India’s financial hub of Mumbai.
